Delete your Zenbu Anime account

In the app

1. Open the Profile tab.
2. Tap the settings icon (the gear) at the top right.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Data or Account, then Delete Account and Data.
4. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

On the website

1. Sign in at zenbuanime.com and open Settings, Data.
2. Under Danger Zone, in Delete Account, choose Delete Account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Delete some of your data and keep your account

Open Settings, Data on the website, or in the app the Profile tab, the gear, Delete Data or Account, then Delete Some of My Data. Tick what to delete and confirm: ratings and library, watch history, reviews, rankings and lists, comments and episode chat posts, posts and Top Moments, likes and votes, messages you sent, follows, notifications, or the app usage log. It is deleted straight away. Your account, profile and Zenbu+ stay. You can also delete any single rating, review, comment, ranking or notification where it appears.

If you cannot sign in

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account” and your username if you know it. We confirm the request comes from you, then delete the account and tell you when it is done.

Zenbu+ subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a Zenbu+ subscription bought through Google Play, because Google bills it. Cancel it first in the Google Play Store app: your profile picture, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Zenbu Anime, Cancel.

What is deleted

Your profile, ratings, library and watch history, reviews, rankings and lists, comments, direct messages, follows, notifications, notification settings and push tokens, and your sign-in. Images you uploaded, including your profile picture and banner, are removed from our storage shortly afterwards; copies held by our delivery network expire on their own.

What is kept

• Episode-chat posts, feature requests and bug reports you wrote stay visible, without your name.
• Copies in routine database backups remain until those backups are replaced.
• Records we must keep by law, or to deal with abuse such as a reported post, are kept for as long as that requires.
• Google Play keeps its own record of any purchase, under Google’s policies.
