Zenbu hosts things members post — screenshots, lists, comments, profile images. If something here is yours and you did not agree to it being here, tell us and we will take it down.
FounderPrompt LLC has designated an agent with the United States Copyright Office to receive notices of claimed infringement, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). The registration number is DMCA-1083297.
Email reaches us fastest. The postal address and telephone number are here because the law asks for them; a notice sent only by post will take longer to act on.
To be effective, a notice has to include all six of the following. We are not being difficult — a notice missing these does not give us enough to act on, and the law treats it as incomplete.
If you are reporting many items at once, a list of URLs in the body of the email is fine. Please do not send a spreadsheet we have to ask for access to.
We remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice, usually within a few days of reading it, and we tell the member who posted it what came down and why. We pass on your notice, including your name and the contact details in it, because the member needs it to answer. Leave out anything you would not want them to see, other than what the law requires.
Send a counter-notice to the same address. It needs your name, address, and telephone number; the material that was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address, or, if you are outside the United States, any court where Zenbu may be found, and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature.
We pass the counter-notice to the person who complained. If they do not tell us within ten to fourteen business days that they have gone to court, we may put the material back.
We keep a record of notices we act on. An account that attracts repeated valid notices is terminated, and we may terminate sooner where the infringement is deliberate or commercial. Members can appeal through the contact page, and we will look again.
Zenbu is not affiliated with any studio, publisher, distributor, or streaming service. Cover art, titles, and series information shown on Zenbu belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify the works our members are tracking and discussing. Screenshots and other images in member posts are posted by members.
If you hold rights in a work and want something changed or removed, write to the agent above. You do not need a lawyer to start that conversation.
Trademark, privacy, and impersonation complaints do not go through this process. Use the contact page or write to [email protected], and tell us what the problem is and where it is.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), someone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for the damages and legal costs that result. We read notices carefully and we do not action ones that are plainly an attempt to silence criticism or win an argument.
This page explains how we handle copyright complaints; it is part of our Terms of Service and does not change your rights under the law.
